RunForOffice.org is a project of the Democratic Youth Strategy Council (DYSC).

The mission of this site is to empower grassroots activists to take their activism to the next level by running for political office. Our goal is to further engage citizens in their democracy and build a government that is truly of, by, and for the American people. For too long politicians and civic organizations alike have been encouraging their supporters to run for office without telling them where to start. Until now, qualifications to run for office, position descriptions, and key resources that help candidates jump start effective campaigns have been scattered all over the internet. RunForOffice.org is your one-stop resource as a potential candidate. We are always looking to expand the information we provide here and our research department would appreciate your help!

DYSC, which sponsors RunForOffice.org, is an organization dedicated to building a lasting Democratic majority by empowering the next generation of Democratic leaders. The DYSC advocates a new youth strategy for the Democratic Party and the progressive movement, and works to influence the DNC and State Parties to invest more time, money, and resources into young people.
